Maintenance Tips
GENERAL SCREEN MAINTENANCE:
- Change oil regularly (once a month on wet screens)
- Keep all screen vents clean and screen cloth tight
- Make sure screen is level. Check for broken springs. Many times the level of screen will change during use from material build up
- Maintain proper oil level as per manufacturer instructions
- Follow oil recommendations per the manufacturer’s ambient temperature ranges and use recommended oil for those temperatures (note: oil use will depend on season)
CONVEYOR BELT MAINTENANCE:
- Inspect the conveyor belt when your operation is not operating and the belt is empty
- Look for and clean built up material
- Note any component damage and repair or replace parts accordingly
- Run the empty belt to check for any tracking problems
- Run the belt loaded to look for spillage, idler movement and belt tracking
- Inspect pulleys, belt cleaners and scrapers to make sure they are running correctly
- Note any component damage and repair or replace parts accordingly
IMPACTOR CRUSHER TIPS:
- Ensure accurate part fit to minimize vibration
- Unmatched weights can cause excessive vibration and cause crushers to break down prematurely
- Look at how parts wear to determine how your crusher operates
- Check worn castings for part numbers (casted on the back of the part) when ordering replacement parts
